The Hidden Gem in Leicestershire and Rutland
Eyebrook Reservoir straddles between Leicestershire and Rutland; Corby and Uppingham. In many ways, this in between-ness of Eyebrook Reservoir serves the purpose of its existence – the ability to fulfil the needs of the many by being accessible to all. The understanding of this mutual benefit reaches a point where both the counties of Leicestershire and Rutland make a claim to it jointly, rather than in a fragmented nature.
A reservoir that took four years (1937-40) to be dug, Eyebrook is a major tourist destination for trout enthusiasts, along with people that appreciate some relaxed time away from the hustle and bustle – the busy day to day life. The place also holds scientific value, with areas of study for aquatic birds, such as teal and mallard, and habitats including marsh, mudflats, grassland, broad-leaved woodland and plantations.
Tourism in the Eyebrook Reservoir, and Rutland in general, has kept Jackie’s Apples in Rutland BnB running for almost five years. With private rooms suited for individuals and couples, our Bed and Breakfast helps you maximise your travelling experience – adding further joy to your lovely stay.

50th wedding anniversay Posted June 16, 2017
We stayed at Apples B&B for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. We booked all three rooms which are all wonderful.
Jacquie is the perfect host and nothing is too much trouble. We had dinner on the second night and our granddaughter and her boyfriend joined us. Bit of a squeeze round the table but not a problem. Jacquie cooked us a lovely meal the
hokey pokey ice cream is to die for . The breakfasts are first class ,set us up for the day.
We will be recommending to all our friends .Thank you so much Jacquie and Alfie the dog for making our visit special.

“Lovely place to stay”
We stayed in one of the garden rooms. Much attention to detail-even an umbrella! plus home made shortbread-delicious! A very good selection of books and leaflets about the local area. The bed was wonderful and so comfortable and the pillows were perfect.
Great en suite. To be honest we could not fault.
the breakfast next morning was fantastic with plenty of choice and very good quality.
Jaqui is lovely as is her gorgeous spaniel.
We would highly recommend!!
